Administrative/Biographical History
Epstein conducted poetry writing sessions with participants from halfway houses, outpatient clinics, trauma units, and community centers geared toward people living with cancer. Epstein was a bookseller at Barnes & Noble Booksellers from 1997 to his death. He taught poetry class at ABC in 2003. It is noted Harold Epstein, born in Boston, was a licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor with a private practice. He was diagnosed with Wilson’s disease at the age of 14. Epstein had some complications which resulted in his death in 2005, at the age of 55. Epstein not only wrote poetry, he wrote many short stories such as “the Big Slip” and he created many drawings of the character “Crisis Cat."
