Collection Historical Note

The Avesta is a magazine produced by the students of what was formally North Texas State University. It features stduent pieces ranging from poetry to non-fiction articles. Until the mid 1950's, this magazine was published four times a year, then it was published two times a year. As it concerns the content of these magazines, earlier publications featured almost exclusively poetry and short stories. Later publications on the other hand feature a wider range of pieces as it concerns genre, even to include some art pieces done by students. The Avesta has been collected by the Libraries.
