Administrative/Biographical History
Kaspar Wire Works Company began in the 1890s developing wire baskets for farming including wire muzzles for horses, wire baskets for cotton, hay, and vegetables. Kaspar Wire Works Company got its main start during the great depression by selling florist easels, wreaths, and hangers for funerals and weddings, creating wire baskets and hangers for gym clothes and football uniforms, and eventually by creating baskets for grocery stores. By the 1950s they were producing holders for ice cream, chips, sodas, blood, cleaning supplies, and coin operated newspaper racks. Today they are still producing baskets, gym equipment, display items, furniture, and outdoor equipment.
