Abstract
The papers of the Lacy family, Captain Thomas Lacy and Mrs. Kate Lacy, who owned the Lacy Hotel in Denton, Texas. Papers include a focus on the Lacy's son, A.B. Lacy, who worked with the Red Cross in Cuba and Mexico after 1916 as well as in Western Europe after World War I. Material consists of letters and postcards from A.B. Lacy to his parents and two sisters --Captain Thomas Lacy, Mrs. Kate Lacy, Mattie Lee and Jenny Lou Lacy; postcards from Kate Lacy, Jenny Lou Lacy, and L. Edcombe to A.B. Lacy; postcards to the Lacy sisters and to Mrs. Lacy from others; miscellaneous correspondence and letters; utility bills; a hand-drawn map of Havana, Cuba; Christmas cards; travel prints; and unsigned postcards.
