Brief Description: Papers of Dr. Ted Donald Colson that document his career in the Radio/Television/Film division of the College of Arts and Sciences from 1967-1981.  The collections includes theater programs, advertisements, pamphlets, brochures, clippings, correspondence, and handbills for the plays, classes, and activities that Dr. Colson was involved with.

Biographical Note for Dr. Ted Coleson : Dr. Ted Donald Colson was a professor of communication studies at the University of North Texas from 1956 to 1993.  He received his BA from Drury College and his MA and PhD from the University of Oklahoma.  He was the head of the Radio/Televevision/Film division during the 1960s and was instrumental in the development of KNTU, the campus radio station.  He was awarded the Shelton Excellence in Teaching Award for the school year 1986-1987.
