This collection contains letters, literary productions, and photographs created by or concerning Olin M. Millican.

Olin M. Millican (1906-1999) was a historian in regards to Denton County and the surrounding areas. The maternal friends and relations of Olin helped to establish the first Methodist Church in Denton County, which also doubled as a school and a refuge from scrimages between settlers and the Native Americans. Much of Millican's knowledge came through experience growing up with the Rowel, McLeod, and Whyburn families in the area and throughout his life wrote much on the establishment of the Bethel and Denton County Communities.
