Brief Description: The Blaine Dunlap Film Collection documents a short period of time (1965-1983) in the career of independent filmmaker, James Blaine Dunlap. The majority of the collection is composed of 8mm and Super8 films shot by Dunlap in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas. This material includes numerous reels from the unfinished film projects, "Corn Flakes," "Summer Poems," and "Sunset on Film." The collection also includes audio recording projects, trims and outtakes, and empty boxes that have not been connected to specific film reels.

Arrangement: The collection has been arranged into 4 series to reflect the content of the materials. Except when noted, film reels have been rehoused into 35mm film canisters based on their series. Individual films retain unique identifiers provided during the digitization process.
