Sergeant Frances C. Spring was a 3rd grade technician of the United States Army technician ranks, established during World War II from the years 1942 to 1948 and brought back with other specialist rankings in 1955.

This collection was originally donated to the University of North Texas Rare Book Room in November 2006. After Rare Books was combined with the University Archives to form UNT Special Collections, the collection was transferred to UNT Special Collections.

This collection contains World War II letters and related papers of Sergeant Frances C. Spring between 1942 to 1950. This includes v-mail, letters, passes, a 10 page inventory of the 312th Army Services Forces Band Library, a group of materials related to Richard N. Spring, and shoulder patches for T/3 grade.
