Guide to the Physics Instructional Center (PIC) Audiovisual Collection 1926/1986 Media Library Overview of the Collection Physics Instructional Center (PIC) Audiovisual Collection 1926-1986 1960-1970 05/MP001 English Media Library Administrative Information Acquisition Information:

Donation

Processing Information:

These records were processed by the UNT Media Library.

Appraisal Information:

The University Of North Texas Physics Instructional Center is located in the Physics Building and is used as a testing and study center for students as well as a center for resources for course lectures. The PIC contacted the Libraries to donate a collection of visual materials that were no longer being used by faculty or students. The Media Library found that these materials could be beneficial for research. Multiple copies of materials and some degraded 16mm film were deaccessioned from the collection.

Conditions Governing Use:

Reproduction and publication of materials in this collection are subject to the policies of the UNT Media Library. Copyright and restrictions may apply.

Physical Characteristics or Technical Requirements:

This collection is stored off-site and requires a minimum of 24 hours nortice prior to use.

Due to the condition and age of the materials, films, videotapes, and film strips are only available digitally. Digitization must requested by contacting the UNT Media Library. At this time, access to slides can only be provided through the direct assistance of media library staff.

Some items from this collection are available for viewing on the Portal to Texas History at LINK.

Arrangement of Materials:

add note that we retained the original PIC call numbers when available
