Biographical Note

Anna Esparza was born December 25, 1992, in DuPage County, Illinois before relocating to Denton County, Texas in 1997. In 2014, Esparza enrolled at the University of North Texas to pursue a Studio Arts degree in Photography. In 2018, Esparza enrolled once more at UNT to pursue a degree in Information Science with a concentration in Archives. While employed for the University Libraries Special Collections, Esparza documented the daily life of Denton County and the surrounding Dallas-Fort Worth area that pertained to student and library engagement with the community.

    In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which guaranteed women’s right to vote, the Eagle Commons Library invited registered voters to meet up for early voting. Voters registered in Denton county meet up at the Eagle Commons Library at Sycamore Hall on Thursday, February 27 at 11 a.m. They marched to the early voting location in the Gateway Center to cast their ballots in the presidential primary and local elections.
