Abstract

Papers of History Department faculty member Jack Scroggs, which concerns his career and his involvement with the Texas Association of College Teachers (TACT). This includes articles, bulletins, correspondence, memos, minutes, printed materials, reports, and statements.

Scope and Contents of the Materials

Jack Scroggs was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1919. He received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Arkansas. He received his Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina under Fletcher Green. After graduating with his Ph.D. in 1950 he came to the University of North Texas and joined the History department.

Biographical Note

Jack Scroggs was a professor in the History Department at the University of North Texas from 1950 to 1981.
