Abstract
Scope and Contents of the Materials
The Gordon Knox Film Collection contains over 100 films created by Texas-born filmmaker Gordon Knox (1906 – 1992) or Mr. Knox’s production company, The Princeton Film Archives. The collection contains short and feature-length documentaries produced between 1937 and 1964 for the United States Armed Forces, state and federal government agencies, non-profit organizations and private sector clients. Currently, 67 films in the Gordon Knox Collection are available through the UNT Digital Library along with related still photographs showing film crews and staff working on location. The remaining 35mm films are housed at the UNT Media Library, along with physical copies of the 67 16mm films that are can be viewed through the UNT Digital Library, and a 35mm still camera with its accessories.Biographical Note

The collection was first sent to UNT under a temporary custody agreement that lasted from November 9, 2007 to July 30, 2010. A permanent gift agreement was signed on December 30, 2010. The collection was shipped from the Knox home in Santa Fe, NM to the UNT Media Library. |

Series MP1483v.15: Venezuela on the March Series (Venezuela en marcha), 1948
In 1948 the Princeton Film Center began a project in Venezuela producing a series of eight films on life in the country entitled “Venezuela on the March" (Venezuela en Marcha). The Creole Petroleum Company and other American and British petroleum companies financed the project. A crew was sent to Venezuela and lived on location in a custom-built Flexible bus. The UNT Libraries hold six of these films; three are available through the UNT Digital Library.-
