A major contribution to theatre scholarship, Three Centuries of Drama brings together 5600 plays produced in England and America between 1500 and 1800. Including both well-known and little-known plays, this collection is extremely comprehensive. Each item is individually numbered.


G. William Bergquist's Three Centuries of English and American Plays: A Checklist (Z2014.D7.B45 1963a) serves as a comprehensive guide to this set. A guide is also available on the Microform Index Shelves. Bergquist divided the plays by time periods, then within each time period arranged them by author and title.
