Material consists of family papers of the Buell and Allen families during the Civil War, World War I, and World War II; land grants, a will; an application for a U.S. patent; legal documents; and photographs. Items of noteworthy significance are the letters of Stephen D. Buell during his time in the South Pacific from 1941 to 1945.
