Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection contains the records of the NTSU (now UNT) Office of Space Management and Planning from the 1960s through the mid-1980s. Materials include reports, studies, correspondence, planning publications, questionnaires, newsletters, location-specific documentation, analyses, workbooks, and manuals. A significant portion of documents are departmental five-year plans related to anticipated space needs at the university.
Collection Historical Note
UNT's Office of Space Management and Planning is responsible for managing one of the University's most limited resources – space. The management of space includes planning, tracking, assignment, auditing, analyses, and reporting of current and future needs based on the strategic and research goals of the institution while maintaining proper alignment with the Master Plan. The Office of Space Management and Planning is the central governing office of all space on campus. [Source: UNT website]
