Scope and Contents of the MaterialsThis collection contains the archive of Bob Kap, or Bojidar Kapoustin, a Serbian soccer coach who came to the United States by way of Canada in the 1960s. Throughout the 1967-1968 season, he was the coach of the Dallas Tornado Soccer Club and it was during this time that the entire group went on a world tour, playing against teams from several countries. Records of the group's travels, activities, photographs, clippings, publications, artifacts and games they played are contained within this collection. Bob Kap is also known for introducing european style kicking techniques to the National Football League, which is well documented in this collection. His approach to kicking has been a mainstay in football for decades and records of meetings with football teams during the 1970s are here in the form of papers, photographs and publications.
